Teachers and Lecturers
Teaching
Teachers and lecturers are encouraged to use Ruskin at Walkley as the basis for lessons, lectures and seminars.

Although there is no need to ask permission, it is requested that all public use be credited and notified.

The Project Leader also asks that feedback be sent, so that a list of teaching case studies can be compiled, and frequency of use monitored (see 'About the Project' > 'Contact').

The website would be suitable as a resource in the following teaching situations:

  • Teaching local history to pupils at Yorkshire schools

  • University lectures and seminars on the following topics: John Ruskin; material culture; relations between the visual arts and other media; relations between science and the arts in Victorian culture; museology; digital arts; Anglo-Italian relations

  • Teaching and inspiring craftsmen, apprentices, and students of design or fine art
